Table Decorations Centerpieces

The centerpiece must fit the occasion and meet the requirements of the table setting either formal or informal.  Centerpieces should be low enough to see over, but high enough at the bottom to leave table space beneath it.

Dried Flower Basket
Use dried leaves, roses, strawflowers, oats and seed pods
Group each type of flower and plant in a cluster.  Add shells, pinecones, nuts and berries.  Cut a piece of floral foam taller than height of basket base.  Trim to fit basket width.  Thread spooled wire though bottom of basket base so wire ends come up on either side of floral foam twist ends of wire together over floral foam and tuck in any excess.  Start arrangement in center of foam so top of bloom in about 1" below handle of basket.   Insert dried material at each end of basket's shallow sided  and at each handle end.  Fill completly so no foam is visible.

Floral Centerpiece Arrangements
Cut floral foam to fit container the submerge foam in water for 15 minutes.
Prepare flowers by removing lower leaves on each stem
Cut stems to desired length then place tallest top flower at center adjusting height to your liking.
Place flowers on each end to determine width of arrangement.  Build on though middle using all available flowers and buds.

Christmas Centerpiece.
You need Circle of corrugated cardboard.
Circle of red or green felt
Large Green or Red Pillar Candle for middle
Different sizes of pinecones.  Unshelled different sizes of nuts.  Assemble with hot glue gun,  and then spray with varnish.   ( I place mine on a round Pizza pan)  Add sprays of holly, berries and baby breath etc.  I also do the same thing with a piece of birch log that I have my husband drill a hole in the middle for the candle.

Long Centerpiece
Use Oblong Shape Container
Use greenery to determine the horizontal width of the arrangement.  Center a flower to establish height then fill in arrangement with plants.
