Eero Saarinen set out to distill modern dining designs into
sculptural, holistic structures. The result was his award-winning
pedestal collection (1956), named for the designs’ exquisite cast
aluminum bases. The Arabescato marble–topped 54" table comfortably
holds 6 Tulip Side Chairs or 4 Armchairs for roomy yet intimate
dining. The graceful central base means that no one will be left
straddling a table leg. A protective finish resists scratches and
scuffs.
